Yam Cooper is an inspiring children’s educator and multi-talented artist and musician. He has over 10 years of experience working and volunteering with children in a variety of educational settings including public schools, private schools, homeschooling groups, and educational non-profits, and has written and illustrated a children’s book on accepting those who are different, anti-bullying, and friendship. Yam himself has been raised by his parents Amir and Orit Cooper according to the parenting principles in this course. Yam feels that the guidance and upbringing he had contributes significantly to who is today; a confident, creative, and compassionate man. Yam now has a wife and 2 sons of his own and implements the same guiding principles to his two children. Yam offers the unique perspective and experience of being both a child and parent of these harmonizing parenting principles. He can’t wait to share the wisdom, insight, and practical parenting advice with you.

Orit Cooper has a BA in Behavioral Sciences and a certification to guide parenting courses through the Adler Institute. She was a social worker in the public school system for 13 years in an innovative program that supported youth with social-emotional and family issues. Working in coordination with judges, psychiatrists, counselors and teachers in the community, she created a comprehensive network of support for youth and youth at-risk. Believing in an integrative approach, Orit works passionately to help families addressing mental, emotional, and social aspects. Together with her son, Yam Cooper, and husband, Amir Cooper, she has created this Harmonious Families parenting course curriculum and developed a unique approach with innovative tools to help families build a stronger foundation so they not only function better, but also thrive.

Family can be a place where each member nourishes themselves and others, but we need to learn how to achieve this. Families are a place where people can be broken or built. We believe that with the right tools and understandings, it is a place where people can flourish and develop. The family is where we learn and develop the core of our social-emotional life skills, and parents are the primary educators of their children when it comes to these skills. Having a strong, healthy family leads to strong individuals, communities, and societies.
