Painting A Spring Tree Activity

Today we will share a simple yet beautiful spring tree painting activity that you can do with your child which requires just some basic supplies like paint and paper. During this activity, you can use the opportunity to talk about the coming of spring and the changing of seasons. For example, you can explain how the trees are no longer dormant and that the leaves start to grow from the buds. Or why we even have a change in seasons and how it is related to the Earth’s tilting in relation to its orbital plane.

Painting is a very relaxing activity for children that can allow them to explore their imagination and get creative and yet see what they are imagining on paper. In the childcare center, I often like to bring hands-on art activities because of the many creative benefits they have and also the opportunity to help the children develop an attention span and greater focus and concentration abilities.

I hope you enjoy this activity with your child and get to experience the many benefits of painting for fun.

I have been working with kids in after school programs for the past 6 years and I feel it’s important in this era to bring families and their children together with nature, doing activities as a family and keeping connected to each other. I believe empowering children is key because they will be the leaders of tomorrow.
